To the authors, reviewers and readers of TTP

Dear colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of you to "Trends In Theoretical Physics (TTP)", and I take this opportunity to thank the Founding Editor for handing me a well organized journal structure.

Our aim remains intact which is to publish high-quality, original research articles, review papers, and editorial content related to various fields of physics. Theoretical physics per se deals with the invention and use of mathematical formulae and computational methods for describing nature around us and the way its building blocks interact. It covers thus a vast domain spanning various fields such as Astrophysics, Condensed Matter, General Relativity & Quantum Cosmology, Particle Physics, Mathematical Physics, Nuclear Physics and Plasma, Atomic/Molecular Physics & Quantum Chemistry, Statistical Mechanics, Quantum Information/Computing, to name a few.

So, considering there are already quite few scholarly journals, what is the point of having such a pluridisciplinary one?  We believe, however, there is always space for journals to better meet the needs of authors and readers than others. On one side, we want to attract "Readers", by making our journal available at academic and research libraries worldwide, and by collecting -in one place- articles from across many areas in theoretical physics, showing thus the unifying scheme behind it. On the other side, we would provide "Authors" with fair, rigorous and transparent peer review of their inspiring works, followed -if accepted- by very fast publication, offering all the benefits of electronic publishing, and by promoting them to researchers in the field. The "reviewers", the unknown soldiers in the refereeing process, would gain recognition, if desired, and TTP through its Editorial team will try its best to make their work as smooth and advantageous as possible. Many researchers prefer publishing without paying, casting doubt even on the whole open-access business model, and for this purpose TTP will seek a balance between high quality, rigorously reviewed, published research,  and paying fees necessary to maintain these academic standards.

TTP welcomes innovative submissions from young scholars and hopes to continue expanding its international reach, reflected in its Editorial Team being distributed over world continents. I seize the occasion to thank the team members who are playing the crucial role in meeting the journal vision, and the Publisher, Andromeda, for its trust offering us a very convenient platform.

Together, we shall succeed in this Endeavour.
